MUSIC BROUGHT US TOGETHER
It was march 2020. What started as a simple live session became a movement, a community and eventually, SalsaRave.
The world was silent. We were stuck at home, uncertain, trying to understand what was happening and missing the music, the dancing, our friends and family. DJ Dmitri Matalka decided to go live on Facebook with Xander Cage (DJ Mosquetero) to play music, then with Ricardo Linnell (EL Güero del Sabor), DJ Jim and DJ Hong and the moderators, started with no plan, no expectations, just a way to feel close and share a bit of joy. But what started as a simple session quickly became something else:

Music started playing 24 hours a day.
And without realizing it, #CoBeatParty was born.
From Screens to Real Connections
People joined not just to listen or dance, but to talk, connect and feel less alone. Soon, music was playing 24/7 and over 20,000 people were tuning in sharing stories, jokes and quiet support across time zones. In April, we hosted the first free online salsa congress, with more than 35,000 dancers from all over the world. In 2021, we did it again and over 40,000 joined.
But something deeper kept growing: The need to meet, to hug, to dance together for real.
That moment came in 2022, with CoBeatParty Live!, our first in-person marathon in Barcelona. The music that once connected us online now brought us face to face.

We finally met.
After two years and two online congresses, we reunited in Barcelona. We smiled, we cried and we danced together again.That was the CoBeatParty Live! salsa marathon.
2024
SALSARAVE
We welcomed our new name: SalsaRave, where music leads the way and each edition is unique and leaves its mark. A space created with love, for all those who truly love salsa. The place to connect, feel at home and be with your people.

From living rooms around the globe, we tuned in, danced in the comments and built a community. #CoBeatParty was born.
2023

Santa Susanna became our new home, a place to gather, celebrate and dance. A huge dancefloor, the sea in front of us, and the same desire that brought us together from the beginning. What started in our living rooms evolved into something greater. A new chapter began.
2025
SALSARAVE
Over 950 dancers from 45 countries came together in 2025: some for the first time, others coming back. SalsaRave is our annual meeting point and the moment we wait for all year. Every edition brings new surprises, and together we keep writing the story of SalsaRave.

We’re a team that lives and breathes salsa, with a goal that repeats itself every year: to create the dream for salsa lovers; a space where music is the driving force and the heart of everything.
A place where you can come to dance, to sing, to play instruments or simply sit and enjoy the vibe with your friends. Where you don’t feel judged and can just be yourself, letting go in your best version. A space that delights your ears and your soul. That surprises you every year. The kind of place we ourselves would love to attend and dance in.
That’s why we pour so much love into every edition, polishing every detail, double-checking everything to make your experience unforgettable. Yes, we give everything to create SalsaRave, but you’ll also see us dancing on the floor with you, singing or playing music. You’ll see us everywhere, because SalsaRave has that family essence we love to keep alive.
